Who are we?

Arthritis & Osteoporosis NT (AONT) is a non-government organisation providing information, resources and education for those affected by arthritis and osteoporosis and other musculoskeletal conditions. 

We are partly financially supported by the NT Government. 

Our patron is Ms Ruth Jones RN, BANurs, GradCertOrtho, GradDipHealthEd, MOrtho.

Arthritis Australia provides our arthritis resources and we work with them and other state arthritis organisations. 

We also have educational resources on osteoporosis from Healthy Bones Australia.

What do we do?

  • Respond to walk in, telephone and email enquiries
  • Provide personalised information packs 
  • Host regular Information sessions
  • Provide information stands at a range of forums
  • Deliver presentations to community groups
  • Keep in touch with other community health organisations and the services they provide
  • Deliver bulk materials on request to a range of health services
  • Produce a member newsletter 6 times a year
  • Liaise with Arthritis Australia, interstate arthritis affiliates and Healthy Bones Australia
  • Make application for various small grants to assist with special projects
